Roadmap

What's planned next, both inside the handbook and as separate companion tools under the Playboook brand umbrella. The handbook itself stays a documentary reference; the tools live alongside it so readers can apply the same method to their own materials without copying any wording from the source case.

Order is rough priority, not a delivery schedule. Items marked in progress are actively being built.

  1. In progressInside the handbook

    Hand-edited Chinese pass

    Every Chinese string across the product is currently machine-translated. The roadmap item is a manual review of every chapter, callout, official-quote analysis, and source card so the Chinese reading experience matches the English one in tone and precision, not just literal meaning.

    Until that lands, the language toggle in the sidebar carries a small β badge and shows a first-time disclaimer modal on the first switch into Chinese.

  2. ResearchingPlayboook matrix · separate tool

    CV Reviewer — companion tool

    A separate tool under the Playboook brand umbrella. Drop a CV in PDF / DOCX; the tool returns a structured review against the route's criteria — section order, evidence bullet quality, dated specifics, third-party verifiability, and an issue list keyed to the same five-test framework the Portfolio chapter documents.

    The CV Reviewer is its own product, not a chapter inside the handbook. The handbook will keep documenting the source case's decisions; the tool will help readers apply that method to their own CV without copying any wording.

    Timeline Builder Agent — companion tool

    A second companion tool that turns the Strategy chapter's twelve-month preparation arc into a working schedule: route frame tests, evidence pool build-up, recommender outreach windows, and submission dates calibrated against the reader's own deadline.

    Like the CV Reviewer, this sits in the Playboook matrix rather than inside the handbook itself, so the handbook stays a documentary reference and the tool handles the operational planning.

    Evidence-page formatter

    Lay out a single evidence item as a clean two-page A4 PDF that respects the RIBA cap and uses the caption format documented in §02.4 of the Portfolio chapter. Targeted at the moment readers have collected an artefact and need to fit it into the evidence-pack format without rebuilding the layout each time.

    Recommender brief builder

    A small form for assembling the one-page brief documented in §04.4 of the Letters chapter — context, criterion job, facts, format, attachments, permission. Outputs a clean PDF the reader can attach to an ask email like the one in §04.5.

  6. PlannedInside the handbook

    Cross-chapter semantic search

    The current top-bar search indexes chapter sub-sections, utility pages, and source records by keyword. The roadmap upgrade is semantic retrieval across the full chapter body so a query like “how did the source pack handle a missing UK exhibition?” returns the relevant Callout or Annotation block directly, not just a chapter-level hit.
